Meet Tracy Lovley

For Tracy, music is more than notes on a page—it’s a way to spark creativity, build confidence, and celebrate every student’s unique journey. Whether through piano or guitar, her goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music in everyone she teaches.

With over 27 years of teaching experience, Tracy Lovley brings both expertise and warmth to every music lesson. Parents appreciate Tracy’s ability to balance structure with encouragement—making lessons both productive and enjoyable for their children.

What Students Learn at Lovley Piano Studio:

  • Sightreading – building confidence in reading notes, rhythm, and dynamics

  • Theory – understanding the foundation of music in a clear, approachable way

  • Ear Training – strengthening listening, memory, and recognition skills

  • Performance – preparing for recitals, competitions, and evaluations with poise

  • Composition – encouraging creativity and self-expression through original music

In addition to her work with students, Tracy has served as President of the MTAC San Diego Branch, founded the MTAC Kids Into Music Program, and guided countless young musicians through Guild Auditions and Certificate of Merit Evaluations.

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Concordia College, MN, with graduate studies at the University of Arizona, and is an active member of national and state music associations. Tracy’s mission is to guide each student in developing their skills, confidence, and creativity so they can enjoy making music for years to come.
